There are opportunities on this site for visitors to add comments to stories, or even sign the guestbook. These opportunities are a feeble attempt at interactivity - something the web really needs more.

While reading a really interesting blog (not mine), I came across the perfect description of 'official policy', shamelessly reproduced below:

"Now I rarely if ever delete comments. Usually just when people are bored and type junk in the comments box like “KLJDLkjalkjsd”. But occasionally I’d delete a comment that doesn’t add to the discussion in any meaning full way.

"I did so with the person below. Is that censorship? I suppose. But then again this isn’t a government/commercial enterprise. And while you may say whatever you wish in my comments. I’m under no compulsion to keep them unless they add some value to the thread. Just so we are clear on this. There ya go, the official policy.
