Born and educated in England, married in 1968 and emigrated to Canada in 1971. Now a Canadian citizen, living in the centre of the universe (aka Toronto).
The 'day job': engineer, specialising in water treatment & distribution systems design and process control/automation. Might not turn you on, but this job has taken me to some very interesting places. Not just right across Canada (well, almost) from Newfoundland to Alberta, but also business trips to Panama (South America), China (twice), and eight very interesting months spent in Trinidad and Tobago.
The 'other job': web developer. Running a side-line business creating web sites. Picture at right is 'work in progress' - slumped in comfy chair and staring at screen wondering what is going on, while the ever-present coffee (bottom right) gets cold and the piles of paper build up until I can't see the top of the desk again.
